On Saturday April 12, forty-three students from CE1 to Terminale faced off in the Lycée Français Louis Pasteur’s annual chess tournament. The event also brought together students from other schools: AIS (American International School), Meadow Hall, Soleil and Standard Bearer.
For the secondary tournament, Li Mo took first place, followed by Anthony Warrie, while Jason Omoefe, Egan Adeleye, Ayaan Laguda, and Ricardo Mjally tied for third.
In the primary category, Andy Yunhang Yang emerged victorious, and AJ Abiola-Odedeyi, Ethan Adepoju, Ethan Lanniaux, Benson Yunfan Yang, and Noah Adepoju shared second place.
Everyone went home with a medal, proving that the most important thing was to participate and excel. Many thanks to the teachers who organized this tournament, which helped develop concentration, strategy and sportsmanship in a friendly, caring atmosphere.
