As part of Press and Media Week, students at the lycée had a week rich in discovery and conversation, inviting them to question the images, stories, and narratives that shape how we see the world.
Students in 6ème and 3ème attended a workshop led by Ali Kabre and Kadiatou Sakho, who introduced them to the behind-the-scenes of journalism, the role of the media, and the challenges of the digital age. The session gave students an opportunity to sharpen their critical thinking and reflect on how information is constructed and shared.
Students in Première and Terminale took part in a documentary screening featuring two films by Nigerian filmmakers: When Tomorrow Comes by Chidiebere Ugbe and Beyond Olympic Glory by Shedrack Salami. The screening was followed by a discussion with journalist and author Sophie Bouillon, founder of StoryMi, and Dr. Raphael James, which encouraged students to explore the methods and impact of documentary journalism.
