CM2 students in France: learning beyond the classroom

At LFLP, learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door. It can mean cruising down the Seine, standing beneath the iconic Eiffel Tower, wandering the streets of Montmartre, touring the legendary Stade de France, or even taking an opera class.

The Grade 5 educational trip to France was designed to bring classroom learning to life — connecting history, geography, culture, and citizenship to real-world experiences. The journey continued in Brittany, where students explored the Cité de la Pêche and the windswept cliffs of the Pointe du Raz, deepening their understanding of France’s rich maritime and natural heritage.

Through these hands-on experiences, students were encouraged to observe, ask questions, and make sense of the world around them — a form of learning that reaches far beyond the four walls of a classroom.
